7875 + 5.9 + E85 + Megasquirt

What head gaskets are you running on this build?
 
This is the general idea of the rewire: Two mil-spec Deutsch connectors poking thru the firewall. ECU, relays, bus-bars, etc will all be mounted on a 12" square alum panel. The panel is secure with two Dzuz 1/4 turn screws on tabs I'm welding to the inside of the glove box. The back of the alum panel will be secured similarly. The idea is to make it as accessible as possible with the ability to pull the whole panel out and intact with quick disconnects and keep it up and out of reach of kicking feet in the passenger area when installed.

Very nice. I was thinking of doing the same thing just ran out of firewall room, unless I wanted to get ride of my windshield wiper motor, but wanted to keep it just on a fluke I needed it. Wish I knew could have sent them to you to use.
 
Finished most of the interior side of the connections this weekend. Lots of tinning, soldering, crimping, heat-shrink wrapping. Taking my time and making it right (hopefully). The relay panel is a piece from Automotive Relay Panels — Choose 3, 4, 6, or 8 Relays | MGI SpeedWare

Can't go wrong with Deutsch connectors. I have them all over my car. It looks like a bunch of clutter with the coils in the back, but when the air cleaner is on it, it looks like it has a distributor.

All finished under the hood. Just need to loom the wire run with the injectors and coils and do some tidying up in the interior.

Started up first try! I must have done something right. Lol. Still need to check all the sensors. I didn’t have the laptop connected when I fired it up.

Fan-freakintastic work. I know how teadious those connectors are. But they make removing the engine harness so damn easy. Looks really good.
 
Man is that clean look, I'm jealous, now I really wish I went that route lol. Awesome job my friend.
 
Drove down to the track and got three runs in tonight. First one was a wash. I had the overboost protection too low and the fuel and spark cut off at 10psi. So I increased the overboost, turned up the boost controller and on the next run smoked the tires all the way down the track. I hit about 16-17psi and it was a wild ride trying to keep the car straight. Crappy vid a friend made for that run. The 3rd run I turned down the boost but still skated out of the hole and couldn’t really hook. Ran a 7.60/102moh

Neat! It's out and running. But that can't be a racer...it's to quite! (only kidding,better to sneak up on the competition)

Not to bad getting better and better. All that fine tuning, will be there here in a bit one I get my alignment done and more street driving.
 
I need to get this car to hook. I’m spending probably a full second just sitting and spinning at different points of the track. I think this setup has a 6.50-6.70 in it if I can hook.

If I remember right you’re on SS springs moved into the frame, and 295 MT drag radials? That thing should hook. What are your shock settings and tire pressure?

Any chance you can get some slow motion video of the launch?

Dizuster has some nice shots of his shock tuning.
 
Haven't had a lot of time to tool around on the car with work but have added a few new gadgets to the Megasquirt - I installed a flex fuel sensor, transmission speed sensor (mph) and a good fuel pressure sensor to help me debug this nagging issue I've had with the AFR going really rich in boost.

Now that I have accurate fuel pressure data I've logged runs with and without the 1:1 boost reference connected and it seems my issue is somehow related to climbing fuel pressure under boost. AFR is much better without the boost reference connected, but obviously that's not a long term solution, especially when turning up the boost. So, I rebuilt the fpr today (new diaphragm, Aeromotive 13001). I've cleaned both filters but am still seeing AFR drop off the data logs (below 10.10) when getting into boost. My base pressure is 58 and of course it hovers a little around 50 at idle with the vacuum removing some pressure but the logs show it rising at pretty much 1:1 with boost so I believe the fpr is working as designed. Just can't figure out why the AFRs fall off the log. In a longer run it will eventually come back to targeted AFRs under boost so I know my VE table is accurate. Any thoughts/ideas guys?

If AFR levels off after you've been in it, I'm thinking your acceleration enrichment may need adjusting. You will need to look at the RPM DOT log and go from there. You should be able to find a procedure via an online search. Can't you assign priority to AFR control?
