I have not seen the new Bronco in person yet, the Bronco Sport, the small one, is not overly impressive, too small for my tastes. I have been driving a 1990 Bronco for about 4 years now, as a daily driver, I wanted one for quite a while and I was patient until I found one that was very solid and I was able to buy for a great price. I am looking forward to seeing the new one, but I'm not likely to buy it, at least not for several years. I'm really happy with the 1990 and see no reason to change. I don't give a rat's *** what others think about it and I wouldn't give a nickel for Jeep, worked on far too many of them. I doubt that I would buy any late model Stellantis products after the last few I had.

The new Bronco really is sweet. I rode in my buddies '71 for years and I don't understand the draw on the old ones.

Built one on the Ford website and it came to roughly $50k well equipped. Way more gadgetry than I like. Just electronics/mechanical to fail. Other than that it looked like a dream vehicle. Problem is I'd always be worried about dinging it offroad. That's why I drive an old beater for a fire road buggy. 4sp auto 46RH. Automatic over manual in the dirt for me.

I am interested in just a base model with electronic locker upgrades. No extra crap. $28K

And just because a car is assembled in the US doesn't make it an American car
The profits of that car still go overseas

It is basically the automotive equivalent of an anchor baby

Absolutely! But there are still thousands of locals being paid and provided with a good lifestyle.
It's a global economy, and most everything is made off of our continent now.
..it's just the way it is.

who cares, drive what you want, it all comes out in the wash, I like the look of the new Bronco..........
.........even if it is a Ford

I was going to poopoo it as well but I had never seen that version . I like it ! Very retro Bronco look . Go for it .
Although I would wait 1.5 yrs.... right now is a perfect storm for profit in the car biz. Just wait programs and rebates will start again .
Unless you have enought money that desire outways the cost... which is a legitimate reason to buy now.

I don't understand 'automatic' locker. Is it locked or not? Or is a computer system doing the locking when necessary?

It just means the locker is electronically activated via a selonoid versus a lever and mechanical linkage.

Well ok, that's fine. A Detroit Locker is called an automatic locker too. Corporate confusion for me.

I can wait till 2023. By then my daily driver will be 15 years old, and I will have a larger down payment.

To me something is missing. Just looks plain. Typical Ford styling. Haven’t seen a Ford that has turned my head in many years. Buy a wrangler.

Rusty as your avatar suggests, you may need anger management courses lol. Maybe too many years in auto parts where people come in and it goes something like this

R how can I help you today
C I need a water pump for my truck
R what kind of a truck sir
C a blue one

This is where Rusty just snaps

It's ok rusty, I call autozone every once in awhile and ask the young counter help if they have a water pump for a 1972 VW bug, or a 65 Corvair. Make em chase their tails. LoL
