Do you know what year the 727 is from? I’m looking for a 71 small block 727.

If you take a wire wheel to the rail on the passenger side just above the trans pan there will be a set of numbers and the numbers will indicate the 10,000 calendar date code.

It should read PK then 7 digits which is the part number. Then the next 4 digits are the date it was built in the 10,000 day calendar. I’m looking for 3400-3850.

Thanks Jim

Has the 360 had any block work, is it a complete engine crank rods pulleys ect

360 detail questions:
Is the block standard bore and your plan was to just hone and re-ring it?
Or does it need boring and you bought over size rings ahead of that?
Crankshaft is polished already and the bearing are standard or oversized?
Or the crankshaft needs to be polished or maybe ground undersize and you preemptively purchased the main and rod bearings
Are the new valves stainless?
Were the valve guides replaced or just knurled?

Thank you

Everything on motor is stock cylinders where honed.
Not sure what shop did to guides or what valves they used. Spring are matched to cam shaft
