Going down to Carlisle saturday looking for 4spd parts. Clutch adjuster kit, z bar service kit, clutch fork boot, A body pistol grip shifter boot & bezel. Maybe a clutch kit. Any ideas where to go and get good deals ?

You are too late. You have to get there before Brewer's and Passon buys them all up. Saw both of them on golf cars loaded with all the parts you want. Go see them and see what they will sell those parts to you for there. Might be a vendor or two they missed or have the parts you need that are common. Some kits are available at Megaparts, check with them first if they are there.

That's the game....the early bird gets the CASH....

k thanks

yea they probably jack the price up then no one gets a good deal id sooner buy from the guy or gal who is there to sell parts & make a few bucks not a business

So what is wrong with people who own 4 speed businesses getting there when the gates open and buying all the parts they want???

If you could beat brewers or passion to four speed parts it was a miracle lol they are nice guys and helpful on parts but they didn’t leave any crumbs or parts or deals for anyone else the view behind there trailer of parts and trannys they acquired was pretty impressive so they should have plenty of parts for a while is the good thing but will prob drive the price up since they are getting hard to find and even harder now

Not saying any thing wrong with it im just saying if there is a part you couldve gottin a good deal on but the 4spd guys buys them all up then turns around & sells them for alot more. Every one is looking for a deal. Thats why most of us shop there. Hell i buy parts from both of them.

Yeah it would be disappointing to get beat to all the deals but I am sure the used parts supplement the business which allows them to get specialiced parts manufactured . We are lucky to have vendors thaf specialize in Mopar specific manual trannies

It’s not so much as getting there early. When you see brewers and passon guys “ picking up” parts many of the deals were done before the show. A lot of vendors secure the deal and are going to Carlisle anyway. As said they are not there to “scoop” up your parts. I ended up talking to brewers about a bell housing. Glad I did the one I almost grabbed early was cracked. I was more focused on the threaded holes and didn’t notice the crack in the starter nose. Always great info from these guys very helpful. Purchased quite a few items from these folks in the past and will continue to do so. Also Carlisle was great, not so sure about the “Record” turn out though…Swingn’

I feel your pain on the 4-speed stuff. I was 30 seconds late and ended up behind the guy from Brewers who bought all 4 transmissions one guy had - I only wanted one of 'em. The only A-body non-O/D one I found for sale had an aerosol overhaul, a $500.00 price and it was locked up tight
