It is really not that hard. In my 73 scamp with 727 and RB motor, I had to stretch the tunnel a bit. I tried the big hammer, too weak. I tried chaining the car to my 4 post lift and using a jack to push. Bad angle. Then I got out the air impact hammer with a flat blade, I massaged the tunnel in 15 minutes and did not have to remove any carpeting that I just installed. Way too easy. The electronics were simple as well.
