Advice on Pinion Yoke Change

I am changing my pinion yoke and seal because of a leak I noticed after I got back from Carlisle. I ordered a 10 spline yoke, a seal, and a u-joint from Dr Diff. I have a 741 case. I am wondering if I will be able to loosen the nut. Can I get the yoke out without a puller? Should I drain the diff before I change the yoke and seal? Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks FABO.
The nut is not easy to get off.
Had a friend bring his 3/4 drive Snap on impact over to get it off.
Lube the seal up before you install it.
It is tough to get 240 lb/ft of toque on the nut while trying to hold the pinion in place. We used a pipe wrench with a 3 foot cheater on the handle up against the lift.
