i bought a rebuilt booster from Rock Auto for my duster and it’s junk. Where can I buy a new booster. Everything I find is universal which is ok. But I want to ensure It bolts straight on to my car. Any ideas. I have checked usual places summit, Mancini, speedway, classic industries etc but they mostly come in kit with Mc and bracket which I don’t need.

“Junk?” What is wrong with it?

is the check valve bad. I mean those have so little parts - not much to go wrong. Can you explain your description a bit more?

I suspected there was something wrong with it so I took it to a booster rebuilder brak

A local booster rebuilder took it apart. There is a plate inside and I assume a rubber diaphram is attached to that. That plate is cracked apparently. I have never seen inside a booster and I havent seen the inside of this but that is what I was told over the phone. I have had no luck with rebuilt Rock Auto Parts. This booster and also 2 Power steering pumps both of which leaked.

YIKES! Wow! I’ve never seen one go like that- typically it’s a ruptured diaphragm or broken spring or a rubber diaphragm damaged from brake fluid. Sadly I am old enough to have HAD to rebuild them when I worked for a dealer. Sad- quality has gone from worse to crap.

Ok so I am confused by Dr Diffs bendix style boosters. I added it to the cart but you also have to add a Hemi Style Under Hood Linkage Kit which costs $225. You also have the option of adding a master cylinder or not. My question: Is this linkage kit needed to swap to this style of booster for my Duster. I know I need an adapter to convert the booster from 2 bolt M/C to 4 Bolt M/C. Clear as mud
