RB swap with 318 k

Years ago I did, Don't remember any issues. Been to long to remember but I think I just had to loosen the rubber mounts on the brackets and turn them to mate up to the K frame.
 
You will have to notch the drivers side mount pad for oil pump clearance (Be sure to box it back in for strength) I used conversion mounts from Al's Rapid Transit on ebay. Everything fit really well.
 
Still don't know what style K the OP is dealing with... going by his avatar I would guess '73 and up spool mounts, but who knows...
 
Build a copy of the old DC k-member and use factory mounts (a little hard to find right now, but they can be found on E-bay).
