Removing AC pump from a 360
73 Duster 360,
I removed the non-functional A/C from my car ('71 Dart GT 318).
This is what I started with:
I removed the compressor:
Then I cut down the brackets (a 2nd set purchased from Ebay):
Then realized the front bracket could be replaced with a small block chevy adjustable arm:
With all that done, I purchased a 2nd Power Steering belt to use between the alternator and the crank pulley. I've been running this way for probably about 15-16 years with no troubles.
