I recently bought two HR magazines off ebay from 1969. The two part article is about building the new Chrysler 340. I bought the mags specifically because it is the first time the LD340 is mentioned in print anywhere. I recently bought a mint LD340 and wanted to learn more about it and I just think it's awesome that you can buy a vintage 1969 Hot Rod mag for less than a 2021 copy.
Anyway, I would love to be able to scan the pages of the article and convert that to a Word doc. so I can copy and paste it here and other forums for folks to read without having tofind and buy the mags.
Anyone know if this is possible?

I'm no expert on it but if you carefully set up to photo the pages you can insert the pages as photos into documents, and no reason you cannot produce hi enough rez, clear enough, and crop / edit them to size etc that is you would not have to put the entire page in, or you could crop "let's say" you had a full page of two columns of text.......if you wanted you could make 4 photos out of the two colums, divided the colums in halve so you can have larger text, etc

I'll give that a go. Much simpler. I would like it to be made available to Copy/Paste in the future though.

Look for a thread, "Mopar Manipulatin' 1 & 2"

Most copiers are flat bed scanners, scan and save the file OR take a photo with your cell phone. Email the picture from your cell phone to your computer and save the file that way, if you have not a scanner.

There is also software--often hidden in various other scanning/ photo software called OCR "optical character recognition" which is supposed to be able to scan text from such things as photos. Last time I tried that was years ago, and if often "makes mistakes" Remember it's trying to output HTML text from a photo and often "mis" recognizes the text

Only thing that comes up for me, either here or Google search, is this thread LOL

yep, the only way I know...scan, then OCR, then edit the mistakes manually. Don't let Word do any corrections before you do.

JotNot allows you to convert pictures on your phone to PDF. Then you can email them wherever you want.

See if this works............Looks like it. I did nothing special, just used Libre Office (free) to dump the photos as is from the thread you linked into a file and saved it as pdf. There's a mistake one page is blank
