Hi Folks

Does anyone recognize this by chance? I ordered a right rear cable for my '71 Demon and this is what came. The box was numbered correctly......

Sheath is 60 inches long.
unsheathed cable is 27 1/2 inches long.
Regular cable and spring at the wheel end.

Early A maybe?
Let me know what you think.

Thanks

That does not look like "underneath" to me. More like the cable that fits up into the car, in the handle assembly.

That's a long *** tail for a cable. maybe a heater box control? Ball ends...E-brake?

A bodies have two brake cable routings, one where the main cable goes down the drivers frame rail to the equalizer then there is a short driver, long passenger cable. The main cable goes to the center of the car and I think the passenger and driver axle cables are the same length. Which do you have.

There was a different park brake cable setup where the right side to the backing plate was longer than the left, there was one cable from the handle down the left side. I'm not sure what years had it.

My car has the left side set-up, last year for it. This cable is definitely an E brake unit with the way the sheath ends and spring end are designed. I had to re-order the right rear because of it, and the same number came with the correct cable arrived. This one must be mis-boxed. I was hoping that someone would recognize the long open end.
