u guys ought go over to fbbo and read the posts , on my header sale , the guy seems to be a scammer he wants the money back and wont ship them back to me .
We came to an agreement and he backed out , started name calling to me from day one .
The bad mouthers over on fbbo has changed the price he sent me ($350.00) , all the way up to $500 , which is fabrication. I offered to pay him more back than he sent me , he backed out of that. I knocked $50 off the orig. price to start with because of shipping costs , he wants me to pay his $350 back and pay full shipping charges , before he sends them back , I never said they were pretty , but they dont leak, are functional, no flat tubes , and unless u got a show car, aren`t really that bad , no one can get welding equipment between 2 tubes that are against each other . ''He paid me $350 , not $500 like the ------- over on fbbo are posting, when they actually know nothing about any of it
He was expecting new headers for less than 1/3 the price of new ??
everyone I`ve talked to thinks he is a scammer ------------jfyi

Ripped off by a FBBO Member-BUYER BEWARE

To be clear, I never had a problem with bob. Just didn't care for him insulting our whole site and all the 'b-body guys' so at that point I *might* have given my opinion:D.....
I really don't care about the transaction either. Not my money.
It could, and should, have been handled much better is all, by both sides...
(That thread was also locked down early on, not sure why it was unlocked and allowed to grow into 6 pages...)
 
I like to say there is three side to every story. Your side, his side and the truth somewhere in the middle. My 2 cents is the true condition if the headers was hid by smoke and mirrors. I think most would agree that those are not $350.00 headers. Then you add shipping on top of it and it’s really a bad deal. Rather than waste money on return shipping you should negotiate a settlement. In reality those headers are worth about the cost of shipping.

1-3 tubes, 7 was straightened out while hot from the header port , it was not flat like I recieved it , but it wasnt perfect. I didnt ask new prices on them, what did he expect for 1/3 the price of new ones , they are very useable, dont leak, not warped, and frankly, dont look that bad on the car, the welds are no where close to looking like those posted on fbbo, the are smooth with extra material in between the 1-3 tubes. like I said before, I would run them again on my car , if it weren`t for the starter heat soak problem , after removing the header wrap that came on them.

Like I said before , between switching to gmail , and an old phone (and operator) I can not get pics from my phone to this comp. any more , and cant , or dont know how to post them directly from the phone . The phone is getting replaced very soon , and maybe this cheap *** hewlet packard comp.----------.

unsound like the guys over on fbbo, there was no more shipping charges , I even paid $50 of the shipping to him, and offered to send him $50 more than he paid me , when he sent them back !

I recieved $350 for a set of useable headers that didnt look at all like the jerks over on fbbo posted , those werent anything like mine , which had extra welding material between the 1-3 tubes , but was ground down to smooth as I could get and still maintain the no leak condition , show car , no, functional , yes , highly .
You sure dont hear any bitching about the stuff I`ve given away for shipping charges only, and not even a thanks so far , seems typical of chrysler boys any more !

Thanks beanhead , and Kim . I think from what I gather the buyer is a scammer , he does appear to have some sort of mopar related site -----------??
 
I have yet too see a picture of said headers... How hammered are they ?

Keep in mind that the $50 fillet I ate last night is not worth much today !
 
I gave my opinion on FBBO. I'm with Roy. Those Headers are Junk. Your making yourself look more like a dipshit by starting another post. Work something out with the buyer. Meet in the middle. It's okay to be wrong every now and again. Even though we hate to admit it.

well the headers are not junk . they worked very well ,and dont look that bad on the engine , they fit a raised port head 440/505 in an A body , and dont have 1-3-7 tubes beat over half flat like when I bought them for $400. I took a lot of work to make them usable .
He paid $350 for them , I still have it , I offered to send him $400 back , just to stop all the mis understanding , and lying about price over on fbbo , by people that dont have any idea what their talking about , as a couple of u here . He agreed to that and then backed out ! The guy says one thing one minute and totally something else the next , and did start name calling right off the bat . I`ve tried to work this out , I`m done with him , I dont give a rats *** what he does or thinks or anybody else now , if he does send them back , I will send him his $350 dollars that I received from him , other than that , I`m done messing w/ him !!--------------------just to set the record straight , No brag, no b.s. !!

Not 1 reply said buyer beware. Bob described how he fixed them. Buyer could of asked for more pics. With the pics posted by the buyer u can see the ugly welds and rippled tubes. He should if passed on them but the temptation was to much to buy them for about 1/3 the price of new. BUYER BEWARE. Kim
 
Bob, he got what he paid for and it was a good deal despite the short comings vs a new tti header, these will obviously work and work well.

I do think that the for sale ad pictures could have been better. What ever the pictures sent to him were his to accept as they are or ask for more for his own self to be satisfied with. If he didn’t pursue the issue, that’s on him. While he may say that the seller should have been more forthcoming, he would be right to a degree. But the damages done on the header will not effect performance.

The purchaser still got a good deal.
I wouldn’t give a dime back to him until the headers are in your hands.
I would not refund ANY shipping costs.
 
I thought the price was a fair. The guy whined for a deal and got some money taken off. I have to admit driving a trailer ball thru the tube was an idea I don’t think I would of thought of. By that description alone it should of been an easy ya or nay on the buyers end. They are repaired headers. Maybe not the best but functional. Kim

Bob should have at least sent pictures of the repaired area. Funny how he was able to send pictures of the “good” side of the headers. Best to inform the potential buyer to avoid just this.
 
Bob should figure the F put how to post pics period! How many lame *** threads were started then deleted cuz of a fuckin fender pic. Take that $350 and learn how to post pics! Excuse after excuse about pics (and capitals) lol.

Yeah , u go buy a set of $50 headers ,and run them successfully for 10 years , while ur restomoding a complete basket case with not many baskets !!
