I would like to hear from anyone who has installed the reproduction vinyl flooring from ACC or Year One.

https://www.yearone.com/Product/1966-74-a-b-e-body/6676vblk40

I am installing a 4 speed in my car to replace the column shift automatic, and would like to replace my factory rubber flooring with the same type of flooring the car originally came with.

I am concerned about the fit and look of the reproduction vinyl flooring.

Thanks

I'm getting a sample of the vinyl material used by Trim Parts mailed to me in the next few days.

They indicated that the flooring is a one piece design just as the original.

I'll keep you posted when I receive the sample.

Do you know who (if anyone) makes different colored vinyl/rubber flooring besides the black or beige?
I think I remember seeing a blue one for sale a few yrs ago...?

i know this is an old post, buuuut, i made the mistake of buying the year one ACC vinyl kit for my 73' 4-speed dart. i got a huge box for 257 bucks filled with two flat dead flat rolls of flat BS flat textured flat vInyl, that was flat and not even cut square. flaaaat, not even molded! with jute padding and instructions with a photo of a molded one piece flooring kit. garbage. do not buy ACC vinyl.

cheers

Thank for posting your feedback on the ACC kit.

I’m really glad I ordered the MOULDED carpet then!

I decided to abandon the vinyl flooring idea because according to my research, if you ordered a 4 speed in a ‘69 Dart you got upgraded to carpet from vinyl.

The very shitty thing was that I had to practically give away my perfect column shift vinyl flooring because I didn’t have the room to store it.

I can’t believe that was over 8 years ago already….

yeah, real shame about the kit i bought and was forced to use. no matter how i tried to hit it with a heat gun (on a near 100° F day in the driveway) it would not conform, then i hit it with the torch, no better. finally i hit it with the old flip out box cutter and slammed it in just so i could cool off with a few barley pops and make it to work on Monday with something under my feet. but, man oh man, bummer about your original floor pieces. hopefully it went to a good home.

cheers

They guy who bought it said he was going to jam it into a pickup truck. So, not really…

I rode in a 69 Swinger back in the 70's. 4 Speed car with vinyl mat flooring.
Loved that car and the floor treatment.

I installed mine about 4 years ago and it laid down pretty good, with a little heat from my heat gun on low setting. I also had this rubber flooring originally in 1979 in another 4speed 340 dart and it has bumps about the same as then, with even the new flooring.
