A friend of mine dad builds a 727 he was a tranny guy so masshole through the car in reverse and screwed it up but that's a 3-speed he said he had a lockup 727 he gave it to me actually it's sitting over in the yard but I don't know if that's actually a 3-speed lockup or not
To be clear I am NOT talking about an actual 727. I'm talking about the newer OVERDRIVE 727 or 904 based boxes, which are (installation and size wise) a completely different deal.
Between all the automatics you have several issues........
1....Compatability of parts from year to year
2....Whether a trans is a lockup converter or not
3....Whether it is the newer overdrive.......and.....
A:Whether it is 904 based and whether that is either hydrualic or electronic
B:Whether it is 727 based and whether that is either hydraulic or electronic
