Synthetic Oil - good or bad?

-
you don't think we're destroying the environment?

No, I think most humans are lazy slobs, but the environment is controlled by much larger factors. The "climate" liars predicted disaster years ago, then had to switch to "climate change" because they guessed wrong the first time. With "climate change" they and their fellow liars can report weather disasters constantly from all over the world to make you think that something has changed. Like politics, they only tell you what they want you to hear...

thing is we are redirecting rivers , taking more space living in areas that were undeveloped 50 years ago , of course there will be more disasters reported , the moon and the sun control a lot o **** that happens , but that don't make good news or pay well , better to blame something you can tax and control , not that it will make a dif , go llok at papers from 1890 they predicted the same **** with the same pics , unfucking real

i could be wrong but i think we destroy most everything we touch. Can't even drink the
water or breath in most cities, but we'll be around for years yet.
I don't know..maybe there are too many people?

The concept we are destroying the Earth is pure bullshit. It's the invention of liberals. It's the propaganda they feed to the masses in order to train their thought processes.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but even synthetic oil comes from oil. The few that don't come from other hydrocarbon-based substances, i.e. gas or oil. It might be synthesized, but it's not synthesized from air, wind, good feelings, or pubic hair.

Every anti-oil moron out there needs to make a pledge to the environment, and abide by it. That's right, it must agree to forsake the following, once and for all:

Oil, including all lubricants used in all services
Gasoline
Vaseline
Plastic anything
95% of all medicines
95% of all medical supplies including hypodermic syringes
All hospital stays including ER visits, breast enlargements, and transsexual operations
Iphones and all other cell phones
All computers and electronic devices of any sort
Automobiles and all other forms or powered transportation, including electric cars and sailboats
All forms of recorded music
All movies and TV
All music created on amplified devices

I don't know about anti oil moron but you have listed a tiny snapshot of what it would take
...and it aint 'gonna happen!

If you took 1000 people and gave them the choice of the top or bottom photo, almost everyone would choose the top. If you came back a week later, 999 of them would be begging you to take them back to the bottom photo.

That's because the top photo is incapable of sustaining the existence of more than .0000001% of the population. We all picture ourselves as some sort of Granola-eating Grizzly Adams type, but as soon as we need a heart transplant, a beer, or toilet paper....we're not so Grizzly anymore. Reality...some people have the hardest time with it.

...and everybody is guilty whether we like it or not.We all play a destructive part.
It's just the way we are!

oil comes out of the earth, it can't be all that bad.
I don't use synthetic oil in anything.

Have you lived in a rural area? A farming community, town of 1,000? Not all are guilty. Some are pretty stinking good. Evil false gods such as money, sex, power, drugs, etc are the main culprits and they never truly satisfy. People need to do what is right and not be so self absorbed. I have never been a city person, I avoid them like the plague.

While I agree, the problem is....there are too many humans to make it possible for everyone to live an agrarian lifestyle. If you took every 98lbs., Spandex wearing homo out of NYC and gave him 5 acres to till....you'd run out of land and still have 4 million eyeballs staring at you. The cities are wonderful compact storage sites for all sorts of garbage.

Then again, the country ain't what it used to be. We all like to think of honest, hard working country folk but in reality there are plenty of mobile homes and run down shacks full of meth heads, felons, and illegal aliens. I know more than one person who has left the country to get away from the constant threat of home invasion-when-there's-no-one-around-for-5-miles.

Yes i live rural and may have a smaller effect on the environment because of my lifestyle.
But still every time i start my car i scoop another payload of Tar sand and everytime i pick up, pencil, paper or wood for repairs or projects i help level another forest and on and on. We're all guilty.

Carry on with your guilt, I'll have none of it. Look at this great country from an airplane. Clean cars, forests and farm land in plenty. Only our crooked politicians can ruin it with their green new deal, refusal to check criminals, and idiotic liberal agendas.

It's appalling how liberals have people running scared and accepting the 'fact' that they should be ashamed of being alive. It's the result of formal education run amok. Too many useless people with too much free time on their hands. Too many people who no longer have to work for a living....while others provide for them, they have all day to dream up stupid ideas and foist them upon others.

The military Is a heavy synthetic user
I have used Mobil since it came out with superb results

Boy did this thread take a sharp turn!

I'll try to get on track again. I use synthetic in a new car that requires it, in the engine.
I use dino diesel, cause thats what it was designed to use (and i dont like $150 oil changes.)
I use dino in my old cars and race cars. I change it often enough to keep them clean.
I dont use synthetic of any sort, in my trans or rear ends. Too much advice from pro's in the field, and personal experience, specifically not to use synthetic. There have been literally trillions of miles travelled on dino gear oil and trans fluid, i see no need to change.

my fault ..i accidentally hi jacked your thread.
Sorry Greg.Global warming is destroying things dear to me!

Oil type? Phewwy! Slick 50 and your good to go.... :D
I used the Slick50 products in my 73 W200. Fuel treatment does clean system all the way to the tailpipe. clean as a whistle.
The oil additive sticks and stays on an surface it touched, very slick. I let the oil drain for 2 days before I replaced the pan gasket after using Slick50. The crank was still loaded and slick with it. I couldn't hold on to the scraper after touching the crank.
