Small Block Head Flow Chart

i believe that project has been revived.
His brother Vic Bloomer, who might be the sharpest guy i know, supposedly got involved and “ fixed” these heads.
Vic is a guy who i mentioned his car on here before and i got the impression people thought i was lying…something i dont do.. some on here actually know him and the car
Anyhow he has a Barracuda( think its a 67) that at around 2700-2800 ish pounds has been mid 9’s with a small valve set of 308 heads on a stock stroke lower compression 340.
Sure i will see him( and Rod) at Monster Mopar.
If Vic has fooled with them, i can guarantee they would be well worth having.
Vic ported heads for Hughes years ago, dont think he was involved with the heads the way they initially were done. That was ( i believe) Brett Miller.
Everybody has opinions, mine is that if i had a gun to my head and could pick anybody on the planet to port a set of heads for me, it would be Vic, and i wouldn't think a second about it.
He has a lot on his plate and very little spare time, unfortunately.


I thought the B in BPE was Vic. That’s why I know this head only needed some small tweaks. If I were to guess only being able to see the picture I posted it came down to short-side shaping. The damn short-side is so small in these heads when you take runner cc off the floor you compound the issue. At 400 plus FPS it will skip the short-turn and crash the good air at the back of the bowl shutting it down.
