What have we become that perhaps the greatest event in the history of mankind is buried by the media? Although I was only four, I remember this like it was yesterday.

Apart from the fact that the greatest event in the history of man kind was the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, what would you to have them do?

This was over half a century ago, and not this year wasn't a great milestone like 2 years ago..
So really, it's kinda just old news

So where was ya that day, er, evening? My buddy and I were servicing bank alarm systems ( in his brand new Roadrunner) and stopped to see an old high school teacher in Florida and watched on his tv, remember it like yesterday, anyone?

"Al K0FRP in the back room. I remember watching the Apollo 11 moon landing on that TV."

Unfortunately, Al, a hell of a nice guy, died quite a few years back now, from cancer

And all this time I thought the greatest event was when Chrysler put dual 4s on a cross ram manifold on a 413 in 62. Now that's history. I know you are kidding about being surprised that the media would bury a historic event. They have been trying to rewrite history for years.

What am I missing. I read the whole thing.

It was mentioned hardly anywhere in the news today(now yesterday the 20th). Don't you think it's worth mention? I think it should be front page news every year on the anniversary. We put a men on the moon and we did it first. That's one hell of an accomplishment. I guess not everybody thinks so.

It doesn’t fit the “no more American exceptionalism” narrative that is spewed out now.

Nothing has changed. We are animals searching for dollars and feeding the almighty ego. We just do things differently now.

Bescause, now the media is fixed on Gays, Transgender, BLM, who in Hollywood is dating who.
Sorry, but thats what the next generation is Fixated on. It's sad.

Avispa, what plane is that?
It's a single seat A-4E Skyhawk, better known as a "scooter" NAS Cubi Point, Philippines, VC5 Checkertails around 1977-78
We towed targets, did DACM ops with other planes, and had "pods" (RSS and JEEP) that would simulate missile search radar when the plane flew missile attack profiles at ships, also dropped chaff. We made Dets to Kadena AFB on Okinawa, boring and hot as hell, did get to see Habu takeoff and land.

I totally agree. If it had been something that the far left MEDIA wanted to remember (like some thug dying while fighting against arrest with guns and a knife), it would have gotten press out the wazoo. But since it was just a bunch of astronauts dying 50 years ago, who cares.
