Another mill. This one looks pretty nice

The round column mills shown in post #16 are POS compared to that Bridgeport. Not enough room under the head to do much once you have a vise mounted and tooling in the spindle. They also lose tram when the head is raised or lowered and you have to recenter over the hole you were working. Big PITA. I would strongly suggest going after the BP. $2k is a good price if it isn't totally clapped out and the step heads are
more trouble free than the vari-speed heads. Comes with a VFD too which is hard to beat.

Can't really argue with any of that. The round columns can be a pain if you move it. But for light work, they're "OK". Somewhere between a knee mill and a drill press really. Given the choice and assuming the room is available, the floor models are a better choice.
