Hey guys , I need to ship a column that has shift lever on it. If I drive the 1/4 split pin out to remove it, is that all there is to it or will parts fly out !!!
Column shift info needed.

It's possible that the detent spring can come out, but, not likely. Like 4spd mentioned, put some tape over the hole so in case it does move around in the housing, it won't fall out and get lost. You could also stuff a paper towel or similar into the hole to keep the spring in place. It just sits down in a pocket in the shift collar.
