Pulling my hair out

I reached out to Killer Rons fuel injection for their opinion. James let me know that the Russel disc fuel filter that’s between the pump, and barrel valve may be the culprit. He said those filters do not flow enough fuel to keep up with the rest of the system. Some guys will run them for a few years then all of a sudden they have starvation problems. I took the element out, and will try it along with all the other changes made.

Mechanical injection, nice! So simple in theory. A friend has an all aluminum hemi, altered wheel base car with it. He says once you get the stacks sync’ed its gets pretty snappy. I’m not sure how much fuel “reserve” pressure it has. Say it dead hooks. The motor is dragged down, which slows the fuel pump. The pressure could drop and create a stumble. Don’t know much about mechanical injection.
