I’d love to see the Angels. I’ve seen the Thunderbirds several times. And I did see the Angels fly over last year as the flew over major cities around the country but never their show.
I was sent to Arkansas for my first job fresh out of college... I lived about 1 mile from the local Air Force Base.... They had C-130's and B-52's there typically....
You could tell what was taking off without looking as the B-52's would shake the ground... The C-130's wouldn't....
One day I was mowing the lawn at the house I rented and heard jets flying low above me... I looked up and saw some cool fighter jets, like F-14's, F-15's and F-18's flying in doubles overhead...
Turns out that they had an airshow at the base that day... It was cool to see those jets flying that day...
Or as my Air Force buddy from the engine factory used to say when he heard a fighter jet fly overhead, he called them "Hot Rods"... He retired from the Guard as head of maintenance at Selfridge AFB after putting in his 20 years.... My older son and I got to walk on the wings of a C-130 that was in the hanger for maintenance at his retirement party... Whenever he heard a fast military jet flying overhead, he would say, "That sounds like a Hot Rod" and try to spot what it was....
