Great score!! And a great looking fan!! I had something like that happen where I work. A big 5 foot box fan the motor went out. Brushless AC motor. Only thing that goes wrong on those is bearings. They were gonna scrap it. They did not want to redo the motor or replace the motor. I loaded it up and took it home. $13 worth of bearings off evilbay, and a new motor pulley and I was in business. Motor was jammed full of dirt and paint shop dust. Pic of it running was before I put the screen back on. This is a perfect fan to keep in the doorway of the shop to suck out paint fumes.
