Hi Folks

Just buttoning up my 8 3/4 with 3.23/741 Sure Grip. Can anyone advise if the pinion nut and washer are re-usable, and what the final torque spec is on it. I have read 170 ft/lbs and 240 ft/lbs. Which one is right?

Thanks

The pinion nut and washer are reusesble, and I believe the 240 ft/lb is correct, but finding the torque wrench to get to that setting is not easy. Just torque that puppy down with all your might and you should be fine.

Both reusable if in good shape. 240 lb/ft good luck gett'n there, its tough holding the pinion. Big pipe wrench with a cheater.
