Did you get the bricks done? It's still early. :poke:

Raining again.
Guess I'm done outside. Maybe time I hit the shower...

Actually no. I ran out. Still need to go into the city and dig up about 250 more to finish.
Needed to give my hands a rest. Que karl.

Good Morning all!!
Outside painting, caulking, and yardwork.
Spent all day until 9pm Saturday, and 10 hours Sunday. I was so tired last night I had trouble sleeping. Makes no sense.
Saturday evening I mowed. I was mowing the slope as we call it. It's a very steep slope (like 50 degrees) that you can only mow going downhill.
On this slope are three small birch tree stumps. I cut the trees down a couple weeks ago. I need to get the stumps grinded but haven't because of the...yep the slope.
As I slowly went down hill I decided maybe to try and trim around one side of the the stumps. It's only a slight left turn...bad idea. As I did the mower starts slowly sliding sideways. I try to straighten it out and high center on the stump. From where I sat I was 20 yards from the bottom. Turned it all off, and just sat there for a moment. I was sitting on three wheels and a stump.
I ended up blocking the rear tires, and cutting the small stump with the chain saw and putting some dirt under the free front tire.
I was able to back it up 20 feet to the driveway...yeee haw!! Weed eater from now until I get the stumps grinded.

Good Morning Everyone. Demon gears got changed as planned. It is crazy how much an extra 800 or so RPM makes at highway speeds. Sounds so high strung now. Little more zip though now too. Swapped the carb on the rat rod, it runs great now so I took that to a local car show yesterday. I only drove it a few times this year. Otherwise, it was a hot humid weekend with nothing else accomplished. wait...I mowed too.

Morning!
Should be a nice day today.
Have a car for a wheel bearing and a few items to fix for safety.

Good Morning folks, all moved in/out. The old place is cleaned up and I’m hoping to turn the keys in today. Hopefully they’ll prorate some of the rent back for being out a week early. Have a week off, planning to organize the garage. The weather will dictate how that goes. Supposed to see more triple digits. Woohoo!

Good Mornin'....worked on painting & assembling suspension parts over the weekend. Drivers upper control arm has stripped threads,
hunting down its replacement now. Have a great day folks!

Mark we are in for a hot week here also.
Funny moving a few miles out of the city to the "country" the temp is 3-5 degrees cooler and always a breeze.
Makes it somewhat comfortable even when it gets hot.

Where did you end up at Mark?
We’re still in Vacaville, just the other side of town. Bigger house, but smaller garage and yards. 65% increase in rent compared to last place. I’ll have to do make due with the smaller garage. But at least we’re not on the street.

Fosters Freeze is having their first cruise in since the whole COVID thing tonight. Should be a good showing. And it’s Mopar night (5 extra raffle tickets for bringing a Mopar) Maybe the Duster will get a cleaning and a little cruise. It’s been a while.

Dam Mark there a housing bubble in CA again?
Yeah, it’s crazy right now. And they keep building new homes. A lot of them seem to sell before they even finish building them. As I understand it, most of the folks buying are from the Bay Area that can’t/won’t pay the prices there.

Biggest reason I left right at the height of the last one. We put offers on at least 8 houses and one was a hundred miles from work the other side of San Francisco so you can imagine the commute every day. All the houses became a bidding war! Could not believe what they sold at. Put it this way my best offer was 500K and got outbid! Moved to PA!
