1964 Valiant turn signals

I replaced my tail lights and front parking lights last fall with LED's. Mostly because a "new" 1157 bulb in tail light was melting a rear lens from the heat. Flasher replaced using Slant Six Dan's recommendation. IIRC Federal something. I think the LED's are Phillip's Zeto? New LED's only go in one way because the sockets are keyed with shallow and deep pins.

Here is what is happening:
Of course no 4-way flasher.
Headlights normal
Parking lights normal..
Taillights normal.
Rear turn signals normal.
BOTH front signals now flash simultaneously when either left or right TS are engaged.

There is only ONE TS bulb in dash. It used to flash when making a left or right turn. Not a dedicated bulb for left and right. I thought maybe the filament in the single dash bulb was acting as a conductor between the 2 sides so I temporarily removed it today. No change.

1964 FSM photos attached for reference. One is Valiant with one dash indicator and the other is all the rest of the 1964 Plymouths with L and R indicators.

Anyone have an idea?
