383 Cam

So I have a 383 that I recently bought out that was in a 69 super bee but wasn't matching numbers so he completely rebuilt it and put a stock 440 cam and I got it for my 76 Duster but I was wanting to put a different cam in it im only 20 and got no clue on this subject but my dad has a 68 dart with a 318 and it has a deep throaty sound and we say ''it hits a lick'' nut i wanting something mean and agressivly thumping ... just trying to explain the best that I could think

If it is a 69 Super Bee 383, leave it as is. They were great motors able to do it all. It is not low compression, forged crank, 906 heads, AVS carb capable of low 13 sec 1/4 times in a B Body.
