Has anyone seen or used a sequential shifter for the 4 speed like the ones by Renagate?
RENAGATE

I remember seeing a company in South America, Brazil I think, that made one for the a833 a few year back, but can’t find their info again.

Just like a Vertigate right?

Not exactly. With a Vertigate shifter you move the lever forward and back to change gears. That shifter makes it so every up shift you pull the lever to the rear. To down shift you move the lever forward.

The Virtigate is kinda expensive for a shifter. I’ve heard of people having problems them getting stuck between gears and hard to down shift. I’ve not used one. I was thinking that this one might be like 4-500 bucks if we could find it here in the states.

Just askin....not trying to be a smartass, but what's wrong with a conventional H pattern? Ronnie Sox and Dick Landy sure made good use of um.

Hay I get it. I like to have things "Just" like I want them too. If you end up gettin that shifter, post up and tell us about it.

I like the idea. Sadly they don’t have one listed for the 833 box. Honestly if the transmission is in good shape and the linkage adjusted properly including the clutch, the factory “H” goes pretty good.
I’ve had many and the only time I’ve had a 4 speed mis a gear or slip out of 2or 3rd is linkage I messed with or a box going south and needing serious love. Lol!

I have a complete Verti Gate for a 833. I’ve used them over 45 years. Never had an issue shifting one.

Get a new girlfriend, cheaper in the long run! :D

New designs have been around for ever. In the mid 70’s I had a Camero with a Beeber shifter. They also made Lightning Rods.

I used a Hurst v-gate for years and never missed a gear.. I use my H pattern on the street.. it's just more comfortable..
