Trying to look up the information on my 727 to get the date it was built. Can't find anything with what's on the transmission or if someone els stamped it.

It won't let me upload the other photos but on the side of the transmission case is
5A203621
Tailshaft has
3681191
05305

Yes that is what is stamped on it

I have the Torqueflite ID list PDF saved in this computer and I don't see anything like that on it. Maybe somebody has a different list.

Is that an early cable shift Torqueflite? That 80A99 works out to October 16, 1961 on the 1000 day calendar.

RRR- that boss looked like it was machined down to install new numbers. Some of the trans shops did that years ago due to vin number issues at state inspection in the late 70’s and early 80’s. All theft related stuff.
Here in CT they used to inspect cars and would randomly check engine and transmission numbers and if they did not match you needed proof where that part came from. They since stopped that.

it was built by Keith hershberger from woodburn Oregon.

CALL THAT GUY POSSIBLE?? (Hopefully not the artist now doing ceramic dinosaur mugs lol)

SURE DOES.

I want to buy a rebuild kit for a 727 but they ask if it pre-71' or after 71' I don't what year it is. it the first set of #'s... the 2nd set? or the 3rd set, or all of them together? Is there a place where I can check on-line to see when it was built? First Trans is PK3681053 then a pause 4221 then a pause 9910. the second transmission is 3515841 then a pause 3496 then a pause 9969. I'm not sure which one I should rebuild. And I dont wanna buy the wrong kit. any help would greatly appreciated.

I assume you got this fugured out over at FBBO yesterday?? The 3681053 and 3515841 numbers are your application for the trans.. 4221 and 3496 will tell you in a 10,000 day calender the date they were built.... the last two four digit numbers are not important for your query.

Yessir - And thank you very much for taking the time to help me. I searched on - line for hours and got nowhere. Thanks to you and everyone else - I finally understand it now. It's first set/block of 4 digit numbers that tells us the year. I really appreciate you and everyone here very much. Have a great day Lefty71.
