1964 Valiant turn signals

I had the same issue, the stock setup reverses the current & ground to the single bulb in the panel. I tried putting diodes in the signal lines but that didn't work.
I had to unplug the TS wires from the round plug in the dash panel and wire 2 small bulbs stuffed into the 'socket' hole, as well as a seperate ground.
Sorry, I don't have any pics of that, and I just put the panel back in the car yesterday after paint!

Thanks for the reply. Mine is a convertible too.

So it sounds like you pretty much duplicated the other 64 Plymouths wiring as shown in the first photo? Note the ground symbols in the schematic.

I have LEDs for the dash but have not installed them yet as I didn't want to complicate things.
As you know, the panel indicator is a single rectangular slot. Did you use regular incandescent bulbs? Maybe a couple small LEDs placed side-by-side would work. I'd be fine with that. I can see making up a small plastic "plate" with 2 holes to receive a couple LEDs. Held in place with some RTV.

I realize the Valiant was an economy car but a single indicator is pretty un-Chrysler like.

I'll have to get my ducks in a row and maybe try that. But it's top down cruising season and I take the car out 3-4 times a week. Another big overnight show this weekend.
