Or used wrong inner or outer lip seals. I think there's a short one and a long one, must not be mixed up. They go in different positions in later trans, maybe early are the same design.
I havent changed the seals on it yet I was trying to test it. I changed the clutches and steels that was about it when I found that hole trying to test it
