My Ram pick up turned over 100,000 miles a while back , so I figured it may be time to do some maintenance. Change the plugs, fluids ect. First off the it has 16 plugs, which I knew . But I didn't know they would cost about $100. The truck is 4 wheel drive so a gallon of synthetic gear lube from the Zone for about $60. $10 for 4 oz of Mopar LSD additive, ouch ! Now the transfer case. OK better do that too. What ? No one know what to replace / cross the Mopar fluid with. Back to the Dealer to get their crap. $32 a qt ? Are You OUT Your Mind ? I'll take 2 !

I guess it cost more since they have to label it in 3 F(*^%) languages.
Rant over ! Carry on !

Well to get the Trans fluid changed it's a must to take it in to them.
Yes and no. Scan tool to check transmission temp and a calibrated dipstick. That being said, its not critical.
Capture the oil, measure what you removed and pour the same amount back in.

Just be glad you don't have a diesel
You would have saved 100 bucks on plugs, but spend twice as much on oil

My plugs for my 09 charger hemi were less than $50.

I was going to try Redline on my next engine oil change, 5 US quarts was over $120 [ here ]...& that was 20 yrs ago!! I used Penrite, still do, still going strong.

LOL.....that's for the "auto" function of the transfer case.......Which I never use. I'm either in 4wd or I'm not.

That’s crazy price. It’s 140 per 12qt case here from Summit.
