Things you did/upgraded that surprised you how helpful they were

pistol-grip shifter - HUGE difference in the feel - every shift is positive, there's no flex at all like the round sticksView attachment 1715772323
I do love the one in my Charger.

Two different cars, two different engine combos both reacted favorably to BIG intake….. BIGGER carb! I just soooo wish on my present deal I wouldn’t have changed from 727 to 904 at the same time as I swapped the induction stuff. Would have been interesting to see what each changed.

going from spreadbore intake and carb to square bore made more of a difference than i thought it would. intake was an ld340 that i ported to accept a holley 800 double-pumper spread-bore carb. the same intake with a 750 double pumper saved nearly 2 tenths and gained 3 mph in the quarter mile. my 340 went from a previous best of 12.70 to 12.51 through the mufflers at the time.

take it apart and do it again. Lol

Sold the 727….. now I just have to rid of both 8” converters.
Did you list the converters on here for sale yet?

Things you did/upgraded that surprised you how helpful they were
On a street car, single to dual plane, AFB to AVS (OE), leaving the orange box ignition in the garbage can.

On the street/stripper, upping the gear ratio, wider/stickier tires.

(Overall, never listening to the crowd on what I can and can’t do. Coupled with! The amount of misinformation and idiots that read the internet and parrot the idiocy of why there suggestion will work.)

haven’t listed them anywhere yet….727- 5800 and a 6200 both 8” anti ballooning etc etc… might talk to ultimate about trading for another 904 converter.

1. Changing from drum brakes to front disc's and Large bolt pattern (15s) all the way around.

2. All new wiring, no more intermittent issues.

Oops, this is the racers forum.:steering:
Members here just steered me to Summit's 15" SBP wheels for my 70 Swinger 340. There are no 14' performance tires. With these, I'll get a bit more rake(always cool) and keep my SBP rear end and axles. The amount of knowledge on this site is amazing. Thanks to all my Mopar Brothers and Sisters.
