Woodgrain wheel with standard horn button

Has anyone out there replaced the 68 large horn pad with the chrome horn button from a standard wheel? Is there a horn ring adapter that will allow me to use the standard horn button on the woodgrain wheel? If so could you advise to what I need to procure to make this work.

I've never tried to actually do that swap myself, but, if you get all the pieces off a LL or VL A-body standard wheel, they should bolt to the woodgrain one. I doubt you can use a horn button meant for a horn ring onto an adaptor for a non-horn ring steering wheel, but, as I said, it's not something I've attempted to do.
