No lie. That was a lot harder than I thought.

Today pops took ownership of the dart. I honestly was glad i pulled her out of the back 40 before he showed up so i could wash and clean her up a bit.

I had to go inside and sit on the edge of the bed for a few. Wow. I did not not see this coming.

By the time he showed up i had pulled my **** together and was standing up straight but man. That was rough....

I love that car.

Sorry for your loss. Do you get visitation rights?

Yeah I dont blame you cool car, but it stays in the family, and treated right! I'll have a cry too when/if my 69 sells.. but they'll be tears for the $$ I lost lol.

If pops doesn't let it sit on the back 40, you did good

I 100 percent agree. I have been neglecting her for a while now. He will take good care of her, clean her up and do all the little BS i never seem to have time for.

On that note im glad but i just did not expect it to hit me that hard.

Thanks for all the help and support over the years.

Well at least it's not shipped clear across the country. We all have regrets things we did/ lost/ sold etc

LMAO good one.

*Never trade what you love*

I moved one time...into a smaller lot.
I had to get rid of a car, for there was only room for one... my 67 valiant that I love..or my 70 340 spd duster I always had wanted in my 20's..

I gave up the 1970 340 4spd duster.

Imo It's about what car is really 'you' ..and not about what car 'would be cool to own'.

The strange thing is, I dont regret getting rid of the car. I was basically over driving it and I am excited to build the 70 Challenger BUT i underestimated just how emotionally attached i was to the dart.

The good new is its not really even going away. In fact i will probably see it more now. I think its just the fact that its no longer "my car" or something. I honestly dont know why its effecting me so much.

I just hope it dont take me another 10 years to build the Challenger....

Kwit yer blubberin and go work on the Challenger.

That's why I don't sell cars, I just buy more land and sheds..... that's a mental issue in itself though.

I remember my 74 Duster I had worked so hard on and was really my first car I modified. It was time to grow up a little and decided to sell it to fund tools for a career. When it pulled out the driveway it was literally my soul getting dragged down the road.... Yep, I'm a car guy.

Never had that feeling losing or giving up anything else other than my dogs.... I hope the X ain't reading this lol....

It's why I have never sold my Ranger bassboat. I don't want that sinking feeling again (not that this one has ever sunk lol...) It's got a part of my soul in it...

I'll probably have the same feeling when I let the Barracuda and GTS go, but they will be going to my sons so I should be able to enjoy seeing them enjoy them...

I ended up at the lake fishing. My girl was gone with the dog so I said, F this, im going fishing.
Just now she called and asked where I was and said. Im grabbing a pole now. Me and the dog will be right there.

Man. I am a lucky guy.
Thanks again guys this is a great place with great people.

Edit- and grabbing pole joke in. 3-2.....
