Christ what a POS to work on. I REALLY pulled it out of my as---I mean power valve piston a bit ago. Starting to get that Holley "one" together and could not find the spring/ needle out of the power valve. It was lyin right there on the floor of the shed, an absolute miracle I found it. I'd had it in a strainer and it "jumped" out somehow.
Biggest issue for me is the 12 finger top of the carb install trying to juggle the accel pump linkage. But the power valve in my opinion is a really poor design. Mostly the staked in place piston, which is subject to carbon/ junk / gum/ sticking
