I ordered an Edelbrock 1720 from Summit months ago and just found out that they pushed the "expected" delivery date way into November! Canceled that order and looked for a replacement. I liked the Edelbrock because it had 3/8" ports but would settle for 1/4" if that is all I could get. Cannot seem to find a pump that these places have in stock.

I just ordered a carter pump from summit friday and it arrived saturday evening. Guess I got lucky. I assume you already tried Jegs as well? All the other stores I just searched say it's out of stock. I wonder if edelbrock stopped making this particular model?

The M6903 should be good.
'Should be' because companies change stuff and we only find out the hard way.
The Holley '110' mechanical pump p/n 12-360-11 has been a solid performer for me.

Mechanical Fuel Delivery for Mopar LA Engines

Mopar Performance and Edlebrock had 6 valve pumps which should work fine but only IF installed on an engine with a '69 down water pump.

I hope I can get a Holley 110 soon. Unbelievable so many things are backordered now.

If the M6903 is in stock, I'd give that a shot.
Both that Carter and that Holley have both ports as 1/4" NPT.
If you want a little less resistance to flow, chamfer the fitting or adapter before installing it.
Not sure what was on your old pump. May need a 5/16 hose to 1/4" NPT on the pump inlet, and a 1/4" NPT to 5/16" Inverted Flare on the outlet. Unless you increase the size of one or both to 3/8 tube/hose.

I am currently running a stock type pump. Wanting to replace it with braided line -AN fittings for longevity. Will need the 1/4 NPT to -AN6 fittings to make it work now. Thanks for the assist!

By the way, the M6903 is for big blocks and I'm running SB. The SB pump is the M6270 and it too is out of stock until October. Fuel pressure is a bit too high too, so would prob need a regulator. If I need to go to a regulator, I would probably go electric pump and be done with it. What's up with the lack of small block parts anyway? Is everyone building their SB Mopars now?! Think I will blame it on 318WillRun as he has shown the unsung hero status of the 318!

My typo.
Should have looked at my own page. M6902
Do NOT use the the M6270.
If you look at that page you'll see that Ryan Brown's testing confirmed the cutoff pressure is too high. There's no advantage to using that pump for 99% of us, and big time disadvantage.

Sounds good, thanks.

Honestly the short rubber connecting hose to the fuel pump on my mopars has never been a problem in terms of durability.
OTH its been a regular failure part on my full size jeep (AMC). About every 6-8 years.

Hard line up to the fuel filter will last pretty much forever and is really compact. If you want to buy or make up your own in stainless, its a little less heat transfer than plain steel. Both have much slower heat transfer than aluminum.
Just my .02 on that.
