Happy Civic Holiday Monday to my fellow Canucks. Been lousy weather but today and the rest of the week is supposed to be nice.
Car show tonight for sure.
The one guy that started the car show is a big Ford fan and drives an older Lincoln. We tease each other of course and I'm always telling him to get a smaller car because that Lincoln is getting too big for him to push. The other week I left a pair of old booster cables by his car. Should be fun to see what comments he has for me.

Guy across the road just got a new dog. He's a Malamute/Husky mix. 8 weeks old and he's gorgeous. Had to laugh, I was standing there and Bear comes over to me and then pounces on my Jesus boots and starts licking my toes. Cute as a button. I'll see if I can get a picture of him.

Sounds like fun and maybe throw a tow rope in front of it. lol

As much as I like giving Ford owners a hard time I would love to have that old Lincoln.
Have always had Ford trucks first one was a 69 f100 350,000 miles then an 81 f100 475,000 kms then a 96 f150 550,000 kms now an 09 approaching 200,000 kms have no problems with their trucks. HOWEVER wife had a focus from new and that my friend was a piece of poop power train not bad but the chassis literally fell apart. Had to take interior panels off and drill holes in chassis to release rear door locks. Had front doors apart fixing window rails many times amongst many other things but the door locks was it sold car. Never buy a ford car again.

That's when Ford built a car not the crap they build today. Everything has turbos on these days. We all know what happens when a turbo comes apart. The new Ford SUV has a 6 with twin turbos. Good luck. I also heard the new Corvette Z06 has a 4 cylinder with twins and puts out 700? hp... Wonder how long that will last? Maybe I'm wrong but sounds like something The General would do.
Just checked it out and it's not true after all. They will use a 5.5 flat plane crank whatever that is.

Saw a new corvette at the car show yesterday it was black looked pretty horny sounded like it was trying to be something it’s not. Instead of copying others because that’s what I saw. Design some thing original put some good old North American grunt in there. I mean you can buy 600 hp off the shelf. And to move an all plastic chassis would be wild.

Well ya all have a good day I have to work in the body shop today.
Same with my 29 truck that reminds me I need to change gear oil in it soon.
My books tell me to use 600W Valvata that’s a shell brand name. It’s gear oil used in meat packing plants. It’s synthetic, vegetable oil I guess for leaking seals won’t poison anyone. Works good minimal leakage with the superior sealing system of the model A
Just wondering what you r using.

I have 80-90WT in it right now and that's why I need to change it. I don't drive it far the most is about 20 miles at 30 MPH.
Thanks for the info I don't know how to find the stuff you said I'll have to check it out.

I got it from the bulk station which are non existent now so you’re guess is as good as mine. I used 80/90 but the stuff ran out nearly as fast as I could put it in not so much the rear end but the transmission was terrible always a big grease spot under it

I'm surprised nothing is leaking under mine yet. I also have an under and over gear box and all good so far.
