904 vs 727?

-
Well since it has been touched on earlier in the thread about the Lock up in my existing 727....
What might it take to get that going? Should I, considering it works great otherwise?
My son has a 727 in a ramcharger with the opposite issue. As soon as it hits 3rd it's in lockup. It does disengage in 1-2-R, but that trans has always been that way.

I have good luck with a 904 behind 408.
For how long? How many dragstrip runs? Or how many miles in daily driver duty? I haven't had the luxury of a race car ever, mine have all been daily drivers.

Actually got 5 904s on service. 4 with transbrakes. One foot brake. Running as fast as 10.20s. They last many years. I have their rebuild dates written on the trans.

and I have a hard time getting 100k out of a 904/998/999, in daily driver steady cruise, back n forth to work, grocery store etc with everything stock, even on a 318 2 barrel.... and regular fluid changes, etc... that's why I call em "nasty 904s"..... I've swapped from 904>727 before many times, but never the other way around, not on one of my own vehicles, anyhow....
I just gave away the /6, 904 I had, yesterday..... to a guy that races a 12 sec /6 car, figured he could use the additional spare.... if I somehow kill this 727, I will consider what's available at that time.
