We did some horse trading a while ago and ended up with a 04, 2500HD 4 door long bed. It was BEAT hard. Bigtime death wobble, the owner smoked 3 packs a day and didnt seem to care about the truck. We traded our 05 tacoma that had 350,000 on the clock straigh across for the Dodge. The dodge also has 350,000 miles on it but heck, shes just breaking in.

We built the flat bed, bumpers, steps/rock sliders. Then i installed a long arm lift kit and a set of military HumVee wheels and tires. (37") (The wheels are recentered)

Next we gotta pull the bed off, finish weld and finish paint it and paint the cab.

Not sure on the color of the cab yet. Leaning towards F.D.E. like the wheels.
I am open to suggestions on the color.

I dig the look. It looks lile it should be out in an oil field or welding pipe somewhere.

Thanks and enjoy!

Tell ya. You NEVER git that smokin' smell out!!!

I got a guy. He is good but yeah. I can still smell it sometimes. At some point we will pull the interior and replace it like the green dodge. Four cheap Corbu buckets, rubber instead of carpet and a new headliner takes care of the smell forever.
My green 94 Dodge was owned by a smoker (I also was a smoker at the time) but it dont smell now.

Just dump a sixer of beer on the floor, then it will smell like an old bar. lol

Mine always end up smelling like *** anyway, now that I don't smoke anymore.
I love the bed and tough look. It don't look bad as-is, but FDE or something similar would work.

Believe it or not, I've gotten the smoke smell out of two trucks. I used Ozium spray & apple cider vinegar for a month straight, left the windows cracked for the month, and it was gone. Spray the Ozium on the carpet/seats and it will take it out. The second truck we replaced the headliner, so that helped get rid of some smell.
