All the cars in the background are gone!

Note the roof colors, all the paint as weathered away, most of them were 40s to 50s. Luckily they did not have but 3 or 4 - 60s to 70s mopars

And it was a pick your own type yard.

Such a shame. They say they are renovating so I suspect they will have a new field of new cars in the future.

Yes, that's a vanishing sight- there's nothing like a day spent crawling through a field full of vintage iron. It's just not the same in a newer Pick 'n Pull full of modern tin...

The newer cars are mostly plastic...decent Mopars started disappearing in my area in the 90s, that was exacerbated by parts sellers getting there first and buying whole cars to "part out" etc. If you worked for a living and got there Saturday, the Valiant that came in on Wednesday was gone for example. Plus you had hacks who would smash the rear glass out of a Dart two door to get the rear window stainless off instead of removing it the right way with the tool...

The u-pull nearest me was acquired by a "group", started sending text messages about sales for about a year, and then without warning, changed to commercial sales only.

The next closest one is another 5 miles further and deep sugar sand.

After that the closest ones are 45 miles away.

Too bad, as my last scores there were a bunch of 80's 5th Ave parts and a Dakota trailer hitch.

Fairly cheap.
