Just saw this posted on the fbook near me. Looks like it could be fun. Any thoughts on the condition, and what he's asking?
Little truck like that with a 318 would probably be a kick to drive.

I used to think I'd want something like this but they are too---damn---small, and I'm only 511

Hmmmm, that's a consideration for sure, I'm 5'10"
Wish it was a little closer so I could go check it out though. Really not that close to where I am, it would be like a 5 hour drive one way.

That reminds me of chevy 350 in a S10 that my associate had. He did all the research ( which model radiator, which model fan and clutch, etc.., ) to get it done, before we met and started working together. So yeah he went to parts yards/wherever to make it fit and work but... when it came time to replace those parts, who knows what to buy? I drove that little truck and I liked it.., so long as it was his and not mine. I corrected his half assed radiator mounts. I wouldn't give him a plug nickel for it. I have enough headaches without taking taking on someone elses.

Memories of my younger days... I did a number of smallblock powered Colts, Arrows and D50s.
Mitsu used a version of the 904 in their vehicles, so mounting was a breeze. Bolt the smallblock 904 in place and use that to locate your motor- weld up some appropriate frame mounts. Used a truck pan to get the rear sump. Driveshaft fits right in as does the shift linkage. The rear end is dicey, but they're usually geared pretty low so they would live for a while... Mounted exhaust manifolds backwards, so they dumped to the front.
I would buy them from the junkyard, dump a motor in and go have fun as long as they lasted (yeah, they'd twist!)- or sold them to someone. Good times and lots of fun.

There used to be a D 50 in my area with a 318/904 combination. From the looks of it, it was very well thought out & very well constructed. As light as the truck was, he could fry the tires at will. The truck was sold to someone overseas & the builder moved on to another state.

I would use it just like that. Nice little thing to throw junk in the bed of.

Not for $6000 though.

Long time ago there was a guy on Moparts with one.

there are 4 guys in my area with sb d50's. piece of cake to install them. 2 of them have 408's in them. there is also another import truck that has 5x4 1/2 bolt pattern wheels that the hubs fit right on the d50's and you get rid of the 6 bolt wheels on frt without redrilling hubs.

I love those trucks id love to find one. That would be a blast with a 318 or mild 360.

I don't have Facebook, where is this located?
I don't have Fakebook either but I hit the link and could read the ad.
He's in Springfield, Oregon. Price tag was input as $1234 but when you read the description it says $6k.

Got a friend with a 4x4 one with a very stout 340 in it. 727 to a divorced tcase with stock axles and stock gears. He races people in 4 high and it is wicked fast.

Would like to see that! Any YT vids?

it would be a riot.... especially with a 360 magnum !

I have a 95 factory V8 Dakota on this site for sale. Make a reasonable offer for it. It's a lot of fun to drive......

I’d love to if I could figure how to upload anything other than a still photo on this webpage!!!

To my knowledge the only way to post vids here is with a link to a service like YouTube. Maybe Gold Status can do it.

Go fish is right. Only way to show a vid is to post a you tube location, no direct vid posting.
Gold status wont help, there is not enough server capacity for direct vids.

I didn't see the 6k price!
All I saw was the$1234. Im thinking I like it for $1200, but its a POS for 6k.
