[WANTED] 71 Swinger Instrument Cluster

I have a bunch of these disassembled. If you are interested in putting one together send a PM. By the way, in any case there are temp and gas gauges available new with an updated design - much better than stock (I got mine from Herb's but check around for the best price including shipping). I would also recommend a transistorized voltage limiter to replace the original.
 
I’m mainly looking for one with a working speedometer. That gauge has been unhooked since i’ve had my car because it does a full sweep back and forth that increases with rpms. It makes an incredibly annoying ticking noising the entire time

Sounds like your speedo cable needs to be lubricated.

I’ll try replacing the cable then. The needle isn’t really bouncing, its basically rapidly sweeping from 0 to 120. I wish I had a video to show it. I unhooked the cable and now the needle is parked at 120…so I’m always speeding lol

Here it is.. Pulled many years ago was a parts cluster and just been sitting. It's not mint just a good working speedometer... $20 plus shipping let me know any interest..

Thanks Good to know. I thought they switched to this style in '71 for standard dash.. I did have a '71 & '72 Swinger both parted 2 decades ago...So this must have come out of the '72..
