[WANTED] manual steering box coupler,rag joint

found me a manual steering box for my 68 cuda hemi clone project, but the manual steering box takes an larger diameter coupler as the splined shaft is a larger diameter then the power steering box i took off....anybody have one for sale? The center shaft needs to be longer too, so, I'd either get the correct shaft, or, get the adapter coupler from P/S to manual steering to take up the length difference.
 
you need another 1.5 inches of reach for that smaller manual box. flaming river sells a >$100 extension.
 
Use the Flaming River FR1506M coupler like I did. It not only looks and feels better it'll give you a little more header clearance

so the center steering shaft out of the steering column is shorter on a power steering car compared to a manual steering car/column? I like the FR joint but i'd like to keep with the oem style for this car...
 
Technically, the coupler is not a "rag joint". It is sometimes referred to as a "Plunge Pot". There is no fabric in the unit as there is with GM style couplers. You will find rag joints in some Mopars though....Starting in around 1975 or so, Chrysler sourced steering columns from the GM Saginaw division when the T I L T wheel was ordered.
