I have been battling a leaky 727 pan for about a year. I tried multiple gaskets and finally purchased the Mopar reusable gasket. Unfortunately, the pan still dripped from the front left corner. I also had a leak from the speedo pinion shaft.
I decided that this was the weekend that I was going to make the tranny drip free. I took out the speedo carrier and pinion ad made a trip to the local transmission shop. They had a seal that fit and has a spring around the lip to give a better fit.
I removed the tranny pan and meticulously cleaned all surfaces on the pan and tranny. The lip of the pan was flat and showed no signs of overtorqueing. I have a tube of Hylomar Blue which I have used in the past. I applied a thin coating to all surfaces and let it tack up. Bolted everything back together and torqued to 100 inch pounds. Finally, no more red fluid on the garage floor!

The pan will leak just give it time. Sorry

Way to burst my bubble Stroker.
I recently had a really bad time with a 727 pan I tried all the tricks and the bastard still seeped.
I fixed it so it never bothers anyone again.

A friend of mine owns a transmission shop showed me a trick back in the 80's with the bottom side of the pan down take a ball peen hammer put the edge of the pan on the end of your bench or vise tap every hole back out it creates a better seal when tightening the bolts back up

I also do that with oil pans..

I have read Hylomar is suppose to be the ultimate but it very expensive. Nice to know it was not just hype. Thanks. I have a 904 that I am struggling with, may have to give that a try.

A couple years ago I installed a B&M deep sump pan with the Moroso "blue" gasket on the Coronet. No leaks yet. The OEM pan wasn't leaking either, but I wanted the additional capacity and the B&M comes with a sending unit.

A little Hylomar goes a long way. Spread a small bead and then smear it out with your finger. Let it sit for about 10 min. to let the solvents evaporate and bolt together.

Had that problem with a 904 pan in my first Dart, friend of mine owned a trans shop, and I had him do a service on it. He tossed the original pan in the parts washer and put a different one back on. Well it leaked and leaked, and leaked more. I took it back to him 3 or 4 times, but it just kept leaking. Finally he got fed up and put a different pan on, no more leaking. We took the leaky pan and beat it to death with a sledgehammer and then cut it up with an air chisel. I had exceptionally clean transmission fluid after that!

Don't forget the selector seal can look like a pan leak...
...and in most cases is the culprit. Another is the KD pin at the tailshaft gasket surface. I fill that with silicon and no leaks.

I checked every other potential source of transmission leak and found nothing. The selector seal and dipstick tube were all dry.

I had one leaking out the kickdown lever pin. (iirc its exposed on passenger rear of case) a blob of RTV finally fixed it. I didnt think the ATF went that high but it was all over the place after a drive and must have just settled and dripped off the lowest point, the pan corner.
@MoparMike1974 beat me to it.

Yes, I have seen them leak even with new o-ring in place. I just got to where I rtv it up from the get go.

Same ,leaking 518 pan. Gaskets, moroso re usable, stock pan, derale pan...
Still gets wet at the front and leaks drops.

Irritating.
I used to have great luck using a little 3M adhesive between the gasket and the pan letting it set and then cleaning with some alcohol on a rag the edge of the transmission surface and then just bolt it together with a 1/4 drive.
Might just try that again.
