Household vacuum cleaners question?

We have a corded Dyson canister that is easily 12 years old now, still works like new, never had a problem with it. I have a Craftsman shop vac that I bought on sale probably 20 years ago that still works really well in the garage. Paid less than $100.00 for it, think it has 5 hp.
If it was a real 5horsepower, you could screw it to you tiller and go chew up the garden, or take that hard to start gas-burning pig of an internal-combustion engine, off your snowblower and go loft snow into your neighbors yard at 20 below.
I got a 3hp baseboard heater that can't move a single thing no distance......... electric horsepower; yaaay!
But as for the corded cyclonic Dyson; she is to us, what her Electrolux predecessor was; a high-value item; works great and just keeps on sucking.
