Forgive me for starting another thread on this probably tired subject, but I am officially confused, or vapid. All I remember reading the past few years was Cragar stopped making SS rims in the small bolt pattern and about how scarce they are. I found Summit has some so I called about sizes and was told they are getting some this month, others next month. I thought how could that be if they stopped making them, so I called Cragar. A lady there told me what they have in small bolt pattern and acted like I was crazy when I said I thought they stopped making them. So I guess they make them again?

Now the next tired part. I have drums all around and an 8 3/4 rear. The car was built in the late 70s/early 80s and i want to keep that street look. Any thoughts on the front and rear sizes to get hoping for skinnier in the front and wide in the rear. What would the widest be for the rear keeping everything as is. I am not overly familiar yet with back spacing.

Thank you

Another question to ask , are the rear wheel openings the same between a Notchback and a Fastback. I don't know that answer for sure.
14 or 15x6 will work all around depending on tire size of course. 7" wide may work on the front and should work on the rear. Lookimg for a skinny/fatty 60s look? 8" wides "may work" on the rear. The wheel manufacturers usually have around a 4" backspace which works with most applications. Anything more than 4 1/2" backspace and you run into inside tire rubbing issues in the springs.
Yes, Cragar still makes them Summit has them listed. Here's a link to all the 5x4" bolt circle wheels they handle. The Cragar SS's are in there. Wheels Wheels Wheels & Tires - 5 x 4 in. Wheel Bolt Pattern (application) Parts & Accessories | Summit Racing

As always, do your own measuring , on your car!
14x6 or 15x6 should fall on your barracuda. 15x7 should also work on both ends, depending on tire size. 15x8 MIGHT work on the back, depending on backspace, and tire size.
In my humble opinion, always chose the most backspace available, they are the most likely to fit.

I have a pair of double drilled 8.5x15 centerlines on the back of my b-body, with 10.5x28 slicks. I seriously doubt that the tires will fit on my 67 notch with 7 1/4, but with the pair of 9x28 et streets i have, i think i could get them to fit.
Once i put the 8 3/4 in, might be a different story.

Wheel openings are the same for coupe and fastback. Same inner and outer wheel houses both body styles.

The new small bolt Cragars use conical lug nuts while the original ones use very hard to find mag style lug nuts.

Will these work for the old school 4" lug pattern Cragars?

Depends on the thickness of the cragar hub. Shank length including the washer has to be less than the hub.

That's why they make grinding wheels. :D

The diameter of the shank would be less easy to adjust.

Forgive late reply, phone company troubles. Typical mag hole diameter back when mag lugs were common was 11/16 (.687) so your .679 lugs should work. You can adjust the shank length, i guess, lol.
