Though I have rebuilt the 727 in the past, I will be having a shop build my current one. I purchased the parts from various sources (including a higher performance governor). The shop I now use has built several 727's for our family over the years and does a great job. Be sure to invest in a quality custom torque converter that is properly matched to your intended use based on your engine/rear/tires. Taking a trans out is not an easy job, so you won't want to do it more than once!
