B&M 727 Master kit

It boggles my mind that people do all that hard work of taking the transmission out and putting it back in and pay someone to do the easy work of rebuilding it LOL... We are fortunate enough to have a couple transmission supply warehouses here locally. I called the other day for a 727 transmission I'm going to rebuild for my truck and they said a standard quality kit for a 727 is $102 and the heavy duty kit was just under $200... What I found from buying kits online is they usually are competing with each other and don't put enough parts in sometimes. Like some of the same transmissions have more clutches and steals than others so they put the lesser amount so they can have a more competitive price. Then you end up having to purchase yet another disc and another clutch to fill out your pack...
I like using local supplier so if I need something I can just go down and get it..
Again my advice to anybody doing a transmission is to do it yourself that way you know it's done right... Mine is currently sitting on my two foot by 4 ft extra bench that I will build it on when the weather turns...
