I beat a 4sp 80 6cyl AMX with my 80 Dodge D-50 2.6 4cyl 5 speed.
Raced a friend from work out of a toll booth on the way to Watkins Glen to watch a Can-Am race ....

A stock Hornet got the 232 six and the AMX got the 258. The 258 was very mild cammed and needed help. It was 4.2 liters. Small bore long stroke.
I'd bet if you pulled that 4.2 and used the crank in a stock bore Jeep 4.0 block to make a 4.5 liter, better cam and head you would not win ;) With 6 sleeves pressed in you can over bore this stroker to 5.0L
