It is just a L cheapo but are used to run it in the same location with my old set up and never had an issue

I have run that type cooler on 4 diff. hot rods , never had a problem with them.
And I do have this one ran thru the rad. first , then to the top of the cooler ,and out the bottom, back to the trans. .
if the engine is running at the proper temp. , then the trans should run a bit cooler this way .---working for me .
I f his cooler is`nt flowing poorly, I`d blame it on the wrong convertor for a street car !!
Is the convertor the only thing he changed ?
Also prefer the cooler be mounted side ways , instead of up-down-----
